DFFL WEEKLY PRODUCTION NOTES
TOP 5 Notes:
Ø NUT continues a second week in a row with most Top5ers.
Ø For first time this season, every owner has a Top5er.
Ø As expected, the Winners Bracket holds a majority of the "important" Top5ers; Kickers doth not a winnner make - at least that's how the losers are viewing this section.
DFFL Production:
DFFL scored 1619.58 in Week 11.
Wk1-1493.7; Wk2-1558.98, Wk3-1526.44, Wk4-1676.94, Wk5-1719.48, Wk6-1639.76, Wk7-1566.43, Wk8-1843.04, Wk9-1507.4, Wk10-1692.8, Wk11-1619.58.
Meeting Expectations:
DMM becomes the 2nd team this season (RAF;Wk10) to exceed production expectations (2%) and still lose his match.
DNF is only other team in DFFL to exceed production projections in Wk11 (1%).
MTT's Tank Dell (32), DMM's Calvin Ridley (33) and Jalen Warren (27), and TIU's Buffalo Bills DEF (27) beat projections by double digits this week!
RAF's 32% in Week 7 is a DFFL best for 2023 thus far.
Failing Expectations:
UGG had the worst week in production, losing over 44% of expected production.
CAB (35%), JWW (33%), and KED (30%) were big time production losers - only KED managed to win despite the disappointing numbers.
CAB's Garrett Wilson (WR), KED's Greg Zuerlein (K), and TIU's Gabe Davis (WR) all laid GOOSE EGGS for their owners this week! Honorable mention goes to AJ Brown, who only got 1 point this week.
MTT's 65% in Week 1 is a DFFL worst for 2023 thus far.
Benched Diamonds - Wasted Production in WEEK 11:
Highest Bencher QB – DNF's Trevor Lawrence (41.7))
Highest Bencher RB - PTS' Gus Edwards (24)
Highest Bencher WR – TIU's Jayden Reed (21.9)
Highest Bencher TE – TMW's Donald Parham, Jr. (11.7)
Highest Bencher K – DNF's Tyler Bass (17)
Highest Bencher DEF – CAB's Las Vegas Raiders (11)

DFFL WEEK 11 AWARDS
Tyson Award. Nite, Nite! Thleep Tight!
- TIU (1) gets his first Tyson of the season for a 43.74 point beating of RAF in Week 11. TIU got solid point production from Josh Allen, Devin Singletary, DJ Moore, Courland Sutton and Bills DEF to make his tyson win possible. Also helping was RAF, who played a litany of washed-up, has-been, never-was, never-will-be athletes in various places throughout his lieneup; Kyler Murray the only exception.
2023: PTS (2), MTT (1), TMW (2), RAF (2), NUT (1), DMM (1), UGG (1), TIU (1)
Historical: JWW 139.88
Maguire Award. Show me the Money!
- NUT (3) banks another $30 bones, earning top score in DFFL for Week 11 at 165.60. NUT got great point production from Saquon Barkley, Tony Pollard, and Cowboys DEF to pull off another high point game.
2023: TMW (2), PTS (1), TIU (2), RAF (1), CAB (1), UGG (1), NUT (3)
Historical: DNF 246.5
Cliffhanger Award. By the skin of your teeth and newly discovered hair loss!
- PTS (1) beats his opponent with the smallest of margins in Week 11, eking out a win by 7.49 points. PTS is a juggernaut of a team with CMC, Sun Gawd, Brandon Aiyuk, J. Gibbs, and Puca Nacua getting very respectable point scores in his starting lineup. Many teams would have loved to play PTS' bench players in their starting lineups this week. But PTS has start/sit issues of the 1st World order. The rest of us (- NUT) are mired in Goober over Gomer start/sit questions.
2023: UGG (2), DNF (1), NUT (3), KED (1), DMM (1), JWW (1), TIU (1), PTS (1)
Historical: “The Tie”’19 (CAB vs RAF); “Halloween Howler.84”’22 (TMW vs NUT)
Meme Award. When your best isn’t good enough, but makes for great jokes!
- UGG (4) dives down from a Week 10 high to a sad and sorry Meme worthy point production of only 104.86 this week. UGG only got satisfactory production from David Montgomery this week. The rest of his squad was the Who's Who of Fantasy Football Missing 411. UGG may just have had his most disappointing week, as injuries and DNF's "Spoiler Squad" likely vanquished any opportunity to be the Comeback Kid of 2023.
2023: DNF (1), RAF (4), MTT (2), UGG (4)
Historical: MTT 55.82 (Wk1/2023), OIE (MTT) 66.04.
Shamrock Award. I found me 4-leaf clover, and though small, I be a winner!
- DNF (1) grabs his first "Lucky" win of the season, earning only 119.18 points but still getting the 'W' in Week 11. DNF would only have beat 2 other teams aside from UGG this week (RAF and CAB). In the game of 'Which QB to Start?', DNF continues his losing record. Trevor Lawrence just had his best game of the season. Indeed, he had a game that DNF probably thought he'd have a lot of this season. It came too late for DNF, and it happened on the Fan'Tasty's bench.
2023: UGG (1), CAB (2), KED (2), MTT (1), PTS (3), TIU (1), DNF (1)
Historical: CAB 102.7
TY-SHAM: PTSvsRAF(wk2 138.02).
Red Shirt Award. Starfleet security officer taking one for CAPT Kirk.
- DMM (3) now owns majority shares in the Red Shirt Award. The Millionaires achieved the highest points in a loss this week with a very respectable score of 155.8. Only 2 other teams in DFFL (NUT and TIU) would have beat DMM this week. Tough Luck!
2023: KED (2), PTS (1), JWW (1), TIU (2), TMW (2), DMM (3)
Historical: NUT 205.10 (Halloween Howler, Oct22)
Mojo Award. “Yeah, Baby!” Best pickup or start/sit decisions.
- NUT (1) earns a Mojo for his start of Tony Pollard (19) in Week 11. While NUT had a difficult time deciding on which QB to start, he took a chance that Pollard, who has only met or beat projections ONCE THIS SEASON, would some how get him the points he needed to beat MTT. While Pollard did not meet or exceed production, he did get close and that is still Mojo worthy given his disastrous season as a so-called 'RB-1'.
2023: JWW (2), DMM (1), RAF (1), MTT (2), TMW (2), JWW (1), DNF (1), NUT (1)
Noonan Award. "Best Ball Award"..nana nana naaa!
- PTS (1) earns his first Noonan in Week 11 for multiple 20+point players on his bench, that had he started woulda made his $30 richer this week. PTS' Gus Edwards (the highest scoring benched RB) had 24 points - exceeding his projection by 60%. DK Metcalf at 20.9 points had his best game of the season. Had these two platinum players started, PTS would easily have topped NUT for best score this season; even if NUT had been able to start Herbert over Howell. This is the first Noonan given to a winning owner for start/sit decisions that lost him money/awards versus the game. No losing team or other winner had significant sit/start issues that would have a) won them the game or b). changed their award potential in a way that could have earned them money.
2023: MTT (1), JWW (2), TMW (1), TIU (3), KED (1), DMM (2), PTS (1)
Deck Chairs Award. First Class or Steerage? All equally suck on Titanic!
- DMM (2), who earned the DFFL 2023 first Deck Chair award, earns a second for his $9 winning waiver bid of broke-dick Jalen Guyton (OUT) in Week 11. The Millionaires, using almost 50% of remaining FAAB, assumed Guyton would be at least 3rd WR catching passess from Justin Herbert. Well, only moments after bringing this shiny new deck chair aboard his team Yacht in Portsmouth Harbor, Virginia, one of the legs folded under and across the deck flew DMM, smarting from being made an ass by this poorly made purchase. As we all know, Jalen Guyton didn't get a chance to take passess from Herbert. He was too busy drinking hot cocoa on the bench.
2023: UGG (1), DNF (2), CAB (1), TMW (1), JWW (2), RAF (3), MTT (1), DMM (2)
NUT and PTS are solid BYE prospects for the start of DFFL Playoff Season. TIU and KED remain two of the more dangerous teams remaining with TMW content to follow along in Dark Horse fashion.
