!!CONGRATULATIONS TMW ON GETTING HIGH SCORE FOR WEEK TWELVE!!
MANTLE OF MAGNIFICENCE
PTS maintains the longest win streak in DFFL at 6 games!!! NUT and DNF are on 3 game runs. TMW, UGG and RAF are winners this week with TMW getting a second in a row. Four teams met or exceeded production for Week 12 and ony two of them (TMW and DNF) won their games...craziness! PTS and NUT continue to win games despite double digit underperformances in expected production. That's saying something about their teams....Congrats....
(TMW (8-4)⭐⭐⭐⭐🤺🤺), (NUT (11-1)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤺), (UGG (6-6)⭐🤺), PTS (10-2)⭐), (DNF (5-7)⭐⭐🏈), and (RAF (4-8)🏈) in order of points scored.
CELLAR OF SHAME
MTT takes over from RAF for the longest loss skid, 4 straight losing efforts. DMM and JWW nabbed their 3rd straight loss, and CAB is going backwards with his 2nd loss. KED and TIU come back to the CoS, having lost this week. TIU just had the 2nd highest score of the season in a loss! (KED had a 175 point losing effort in Week 2). Terrible time of the year to be losing...don't make it a trend to those gunning for a playoff spot!
(TIU (6-6) ⭐⭐⭐🤺), DMM (4-8) ⭐🏈), (CAB (7-5)⭐), (JWW (1-11)⭐🏈), (KED (6-6)⭐), and (MTT (4-8)🏈) in order of losing points scored.

Meeting Expectations:
DNF beats projections for second straight week! TMW meets projections.
TIU's Josh Allen (55), NUT's Bijan Robinson (31), DNF's Jordan Love (39), PTS Isaih Pacheco (30), KED's Dolphins DEF (25) and JWW's Tyler Higbee (17) beat projections by double digits in Week 12!
DMM loses a second game in a row after exceeding expected production.
TIU becomes only the 3rd DFFL team to lose a game after beating production projections. (RAF Wk10 was 1st).
RAF's 32% in Week 7 is a DFFL best for 2023 thus far.
Failing Expectations:
KED had the worst week in production, losing over 31% of expected production.
PTS was only team with 2x positional GOOSE EGGS at Kicker and Defense..still pulling out a win! Honorable mention to MTT's Adam Thielen who had 1 point.
CAB (28%), MTT (26%), and PTS (24%) were in the Top 5 for failing to meet production expectations. Only PTS managed a win in spite of his slackers.
MTT's 65% in Week 1 is a DFFL worst for 2023 thus far.

DFFL WEEK 12 AWARDS
Tyson Award. Nite, Nite! Thleep Tight!
- DNF (1) beats KED by the largest margin in DFFL this week at 31.54. Big time performances from Jordan Love (38.62), Christian Watson (19.9), Drake London (16.6) and Justin Taylor (27.1) who all beat projected scores, helped DNF to his first Tyson of the season. Aside from homer Tennessee Titans (14), DNF started all the right players to easily defeat KED. KED helped out DNF's win by having Diontae Johnson, Chris Godwin, George Kittle, Joe Mixon, and Rashid Shaheed as starters; all received single digit production and didn't get close to expected points.
2023: PTS (2), MTT (1), TMW (2), RAF (2), NUT (1), DMM (1), UGG (1), TIU (1), DNF (1)
Historical: JWW 139.88
Maguire Award. Show me the Money!
- TMW (3) gets the $30 with his high score of 175.72. The Watts' Big Three came to play this week garnering over 70 of TMW's 175 points! Mike Evans, Tyreek Hill, and Deebo Samuel are point juggernauts who, at least for Evans and Hill, have been trending as league winners all season long. Derrick Henry had his second best game of the season (24.1) and the 49ers DEF came close to doubling their projected point total. On the other side of this match, DMM couldn't get enough points to help Jalen Hurts' 48 point performance - his best of the season, so far. Aside from Jakobi Meyers who The Millionnaires traded like an old Christmas Season cardigan, and homer Colts DEF, DMM got very little from his starters to be happy about. Of particular disappointment, Davante Adams once again failed to get even a respectable chunk of expected production - truly one of the busts of the season, given the price he cost owners. Honorable mention to NUT who came within 2 points of TMW's score this week (174.38).
2023: PTS (1), TIU (2), RAF (1), CAB (1), UGG (1), NUT (3), TMW (3)

Cliffhanger Award. By the skin of your teeth and newly discovered hair loss!
- NUT (4) claims the Cliffy this week, beating TIU by only 2.82 points. At four awards, NUT now owns the market on close wins this season; UGG the only other team that gets "close" (pun intended) at two. It didn't have to be this close, however. Had NUT started bencher Kyren Williams (43.4), he would have reaped the boon of points which became Kyren's best performance of the season! Indeed, Kyren would have made NUT $30 richer, and possibly another Tyson Award owner this week. Pollard and Bijan Robinson had solid performances and NUT got what he needed from Justin Herbert to get his 11th win of the season. Truly Enviable! On the other side of this match was TIU, whom I'll highlight further down in this writeup.

Meme Award. When your best isn’t good enough, but makes for great jokes!
- MTT (3) snags the much hated Meme with a Week 12 low score of just 105. The Thielen gets the unfortunate distinction of having been beat by the meandering RAF in both matches this season. If only benchers Russell Wilson (22.76) and Rashee Rice (23.7) had started in front of banana peel eater, Levis (11.6) and namesake Adam Thielen (0.7), MTT would have won and gone 1-1 versus the RAF. I realize this discussion belongs more in the Noonan write-up, but sometimes you just need to talk about the obvious when its appropriate. MTT's Devonta Smith (25.1) and Tank Dell (17.7) are truly players any owner could be happy having on roster. Along with Jordan Addison, who didn't have a great game on MNF, MTT is in a solid position for the 2024 season.
2023: DNF (1), RAF (4), UGG (4), MTT (3)
Historical: MTT 55.82 (Wk1/2023), OIE (MTT) 66.04.
Shamrock Award. I found me 4-leaf clover, and though small, I be a winner!
- RAF (1) earns his first Shammy of the season with the lowest score in a winning effort, bringing only 128.74 points. With the kind of points RAF put up this season, this award always seemed the more likely in any winning match for The Fitz; unfortunately, as it were, the Meme would become RAF's most common. RAF won a match this week in spite of almost all players failing to reach projections. In fact, only the surging Denver Broncos DEF (20) and waiver addition Keaton Mitchell (15.9) exceeded projected points. The rest of the RAF 2023 squad is the who's who of fantasy irrelevance at this point in the season.

Historical: CAB 102.7
TY-SHAM: PTSvsRAF(wk2 138.02).
Red Shirt Award. Starfleet security officer taking one for CAPT Kirk.
- TIU (3) gets the unfortunate Red Shirt this week with the season's 2nd highest score in a losing effort, 171.56! TIU received a whopping 55.15 points from QB starter Josh Allen this week...and still lost. Additionally, DJ Moore (22.9), Raheem Mostert (23.4) all blew past projections...and yet TIU lost this match with NUT. I'll put it this way - one single TIU starter, Josh Allen, got 50% of MTT's points this week, and still lost. If just a tad more of that 55 point production had been focused on star WR Stefon Diggs, TIU surely would have overcome the 2 and a fraction point margin he lost by! As it turned out, bencher Gabe Davis, who has actually goose egged this season, was the WR to start. Gabe's 24.5 points eclipsed starter Khalil Shakir (11.9) and Alexander Mattison (10.3) and would have got The Toe his 7th win. Now TIU finds himself in a competition with two other 6-6 owners (and trending poorly, CAB) for the final spot in the 2023 DFFL Playoffs.....oh, and this week, the Bills (TIU) are on BYE. Not good!
2023: KED (2), PTS (1), JWW (1), TMW (2), DMM (3), TIU (3)
Historical: NUT 205.10 (Halloween Howler, Oct22)
Mojo Award. “Yeah, Baby!” Best pickup or start/sit decisions.
- UGG (1) wins a Mojo this week with the start of Dak Prescott, who had 46.74 points versus Division rival Washington on Thanksgiving Day. One might have been concerned starting the Cowboys QB on a short week with some of the up-and-down games Dak has had in Novembers past. However, this year IS different for Dak who has scored over 40 points every game since Week 6 and coming off the BYE! This week Dak put up his second best numbers of the season, throwing for over 300 yds and 4 TDs! UGG was savvy to stay with Dak and not get cute in thinking bencher Josh Dobbs (10) might have a career game against the struggling Chicago Bears at home in Minnesota. Dobbs, in fact, has had multiple 30+ point games, and has shown an ability to run the ball fairly successfully. Coming off a stinging loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 11, many an owner might have thought this was the week to start Dobbs. Dobbs did have a career day; unfortunately it wasn't the one he had hoped - throwing 4 INTs and only one TD. UGG wanted none of that malarky! Nice work!
2023: JWW (2), DMM (1), RAF (1), MTT (2), TMW (2), JWW (1), DNF (1), NUT (1), UGG (1)
Noonan Award. "Best Ball Award"..nana nana naaa!
- CAB (1) earns a Noony this week for leaving TE sensation Pat Freiermuth (22.4) on his bench along with the Atlanta Falcons DEF (15), losing over 30 points towards what could have been a double digit win over Division rival and leader, PTS. Pat had his best game ever whilst on the Ala Bart's Bench, two weeks back from IR. Instead, CAB went with Dalton Shultz, who had his worst game since Week 5 of 2022. Had CAB started Pat over Dalton, he wouldn't have needed to make any other changes, as he would have won by around 10 points. Had CAB beat PTS, he would have kept his chances alive to tie PTS for Divsion Leader end of season. That ship has passed....(a phrase those who get inspected by Bart seldom hear). Honorable mention to MTT for this award, as highlighted in the Meme write-up.
2023: MTT (1), JWW (2), TMW (1), TIU (3), KED (1), DMM (2), PTS (1), CAB (1)
Deck Chairs Award. First Class or Steerage? All equally suck on Titanic!
- JWW (3) nabs a Decker this week, trading for Tyler Higbee who in spite of having his best game since Week 16 of the 2022 season (17.4), did nothing to prevent the catastrophe of The Wonder's 11th Loss! This season has been one edge of the iceberg to another for The Wonder and he now ties RAF for the most hideously decorated deck chairs at the bottom of the ocean. Owners who managed to keep their assets above 'The Drink' include; NUT, PTS, TIU and KED; all teams with a solid shot at DFFL Championship Glory.
As a result of trade deadline, this award is officially retired for the 2023 season.
2023: UGG (1), DNF (2), CAB (1), TMW (1), RAF (3), MTT (1), DMM (2), JWW (3)
No more trades folks! You got what you got unless a diamond shows on the Waiver this week. Happy competing for the last playoff spot!!
